IIDA Student Membership provides interior design students with valuable resources, professional development opportunities, and industry connections that extend beyond the classroom. Connect with fellow students and design professionals, grow your network, and gain access to experiences that support your education and future career in the design industry.
Our Active Campus Centers
The Student Campus Center is a design-oriented group on your campus that provides opportunities to interact with other IIDA Student Members, organize events, take a leadership role and work closely with IIDA local Chapter leaders.
Affiliate Institutions
All campus centers & affiliate institutions include fully online students and students who utilize satellite campuses.
IIDA Southwest RepConnect
The IIDA Southwest RepConnect gives interior design, interior architecture, and architecture students a firsthand look at parts of the profession they may not experience in school.
Students can spend part of a workday shadowing an A&D product representative or attend an existing Lunch & Learn inside a design firm. Vendors and firms choose when to participate, and IIDA SW coordinates appointment listings, student registration, and confirmations.
-
One student joins an A&D product representative for part of a normal workday. Depending on the day, the student may sit in on client meetings, visit firms or job sites, tour a showroom, or observe presentations and product conversations.
Shadow is a one-on-one experience offered by the participating representative.
-
One or two students join an existing Lunch & Learn at an A&D firm. They observe how products are presented, discussed, and considered for projects while seeing the working relationship between representatives and design firms.
Open Seat opportunities may be offered by the presenting vendor or the host firm after both parties confirm participation.
-
For students
Browse the RepConnect calendar and open an appointment to review its date, time, location, topic, host information, and any arrival or lunch instructions.
Register directly from the selected appointment.
Registration closes exactly seven calendar days before each appointment. Late registration is not available.
Once registered, you and the participating contacts will receive a confirmation email with the appointment details.
For vendors and A&D firms
Vendor representatives may submit a one-on-one Shadow opportunity.
Vendors or A&D firms may submit one or two student seats at an existing Lunch & Learn after coordinating with the other participating party.
Submit one availability form for each appointment offered.
IIDA SW publishes the appointment and sends confirmation information when a student registers.
