Understanding the value of continuing education and research has been the mainstay of IIDA since its inception. Educated practitioners make informed, safe, and creative decisions, which affect us all. Educational programs serve as a creative outlet to promote awareness regarding pertinent issues within the practice of Interior Design.
CONTINUING EDUCATION (CEUs)
Continuing education strengthens the interior design profession by improving individual attitudes, competencies, knowledge and skills in specific subject areas essential to interior design. Learning experiences focus on the individual and involve activities that encompass thinking, doing and reflection.
IIDA Professional and Associate Members are required to complete and report 1.0 CEU (10 hours) of Continuing Education every two years. All Professional and Associate Members (active and inactive) including Educators, IIDA Fellows and Chapter Officers must adhere to IIDA compliance requirements.

Every year, twice a year, IIDA Southwest Chapter hosts a marathon of accredited, virtual CEU Events – 8 CEUs in just 3 weeks. And to make things even better, we sweeten the deal with gift card prizes at every presentation, and a huge grand prize winner at the end.

Over a course of 3 weeks, we offer 8 virtual CEU events, each focused on a unique industry-inspired topic and graciously hosted by a different subject matter expert each time.

NCIDQ Power Hours
--> NCIDQ Power Hour is offered in early Summer. Please refer to the calendar for specific dates, times, and locations.
--> In this 1-hour event we’ll review key NCIDQ topics using a Jeopardy-style trivia game — think codes, contract documents, finishes, ethics, and more.
NCIDQ Mock Exams
—> NCIDQ Mock Exams are offered in advance to Fall and Spring Exam Administration Periods
—> Looking to practice your timing and test-taking pace? Or maybe you're curious about your baseline knowledge and how long it might take you to complete the real thing?
--> Join us for a Mock Exam Session, offered at the beginning of Spring and Fall Exam Administration Period. Please refer to the calendar for specific dates, times, and locations.
--> Choose from IDFX, IDPX, or the Practicum to simulate the experience, identify your strengths, and pinpoint areas for improvement.
--> Attendees will be invited to a virtual session to deep dive and discuss any missed questions at a later date.
NCIDQ Master Class
--> NCIDQ Master Class is offered in early Winter. Please refer to the calendar for specific dates, times, and locations.
--> A comprehensive master class that breaks down NCIDQ content into clear strategies, real exam-style scenarios, and proven study techniques. Whether you're just beginning or preparing for your final review, this session equips you with the knowledge and confidence needed to pass the NCIDQ and advance your interior design career.
